Earlier this month, I swung by the Sun Coast CGA show to hang out with some of the local cosplay community. The week before was spent prepping a few swords to take with my, and the night before I threw together a (pretty bad) costume.
Completed Buster and SOLDIER swords, along with a mockup for a future project.
Aside from the already completed Kingdom Key, I brought along the Buster Sword and a quick-build SOLDIER Sword. The paint on the new pieces was rushed and needs reworking, but that didn’t stop folks at the con from posing for pics!

While the Buster Sword was recognizable, most attendants had some trouble holding it up.
The SOLDIER Sword and Kingdom Key could both be held with one hand, and proved much more popular.
Apparently lots of dual-wielding.
I wound up arriving a bit late to the show, and I didn’t have the sense to bring my own camera, so I’ve only the few photos that were donated to me.
I’m currently helping out with a cosplay group putting together some of the Sword Art Online case – and just as the name might suggest, I’ll be prepping lots of swords for the event! Hoping to have more info available on that soon.
